Why Strata
- Plan a real city. Dwellings need a road edge; grand spires need two. Layouts matter.
- Watch the economy. Every year your net income moves — gardens pay, upkeep drains. Go bankrupt and it's over.
- Beat the charter. Reach 250 citizens by year 45 to win. The clock ticks in the HUD.
- A dusk world of your own making. Warm low sun, glowing windows, drifting lumen motes — all drawn in code.
- Play anywhere. Mouse and keyboard on desktop; pan, pinch, tap and on-screen build buttons on touch.

How to play
The goal
Grow 250 citizens before year 45. Each year your treasury gains net income; spend it on roads, dwellings (+8 pop), gardens (income) and spires (+36 pop). If the treasury drops below zero at year's end, the city goes bankrupt and you lose.
